What a wonderful shot. Most shots of a major city have "fuzz" in the sky. You've done a magnificent job of smoothing the sky and ridding it of that. It's almost as if you can see the clouds moving. Now onto the city. I love how the city is kept a consistent light. The light on top of the Eiffel Tower and that sparkle it shows really highlights the crispness of this photo. I actually prefer the sky of the previous shot and the purple but I think this sky choice makes it more realistic. I also noticed that the angle of the city is spot on. It's not an unrealistis angle but one you would expect to see if you were above the city on a high building. Overall I love the attention to detial and look forward to more. Great job!
Hi! Lovely shot - can I ask what lens did you use and what settings? ^^ I'll be going to Paris soon and I've heard the view from the tower of montparnasse is the best! (now I can see they are definetly right.. ) but I only got a 18-50 mm lens and I'm afraid it may not be enough to get these kind of lovely pictures. xD
I used a canon 5D mk ii with a 24-105mm f/4 L IS lens and the settings was surelly f/11 and time around 30-70sec (can't remember). All with tripod and trigger cord.
bah yiu focal length is okay and you'll be oretty ok. If you got a little extra 100$ I'll strongly advice you to get the 50mm f/1.8 of canon. Awesome quality lens for cheap. The 18-50mm is unfortunately the base lense and if not really good (sharpness, quality, bokeh etc)
